I am now newly motivated to start being better about keeping this blog up to date with weekly entries chronicling my oh so exciting life. I am hoping that in the future my little guy, or at least his wife, will find what I had to say insightful and perhaps somewhat interesting. My new inspiration comes from my friend Kara. With two little girls under the age of 3 she manages to find the time to capture wonderful moments from her life through her blog. So this is my first official entry as I get back into the swing of blogging.
Baby Henri is now 5 1/2 months and life couldn't be sweeter. He is the cutest little fellow imaginable, always smiling and "flirting." This past weekend we had him baptized and he was so well-behaved. He let me dress him in a white christening gown with little white booties and a matching cap. He was wrapped in the blanket Meme knitted and couldn't have been any cuter. At the church, God mother, Matane Sally presented Henri with a beautiful gold cross. God father, Uncle Mike says that if the cross is hung in the nursery it will ward off evil spirits. Immediate family joined us at the church and we then made the trek to Worcester to Maxwell Silverman's. I have to say, it was nice to enjoy a meal while everyone else passed Henri around. The food was absolutely scrumptious and to top it off we all went back to our house to enjoy some wonderful Publik House cake....delicious. Now with the stress of getting together the family for the baptism we can now focus on getting ready for our first Thanksgiving together :-) This year we are going to Matante Sally's for a turkey feast....only one more day to go!!
