This weekend Henri had his first haircut and his first time attending a birthday party! Miss Mya turned one on Saturday so we packed up and went to her house for a birthday celebration. Henri had a fun time playing with his girlfriends, Lucy, Mya, and Claire. He also had his first taste of delicious birthday cake. I have a feeling he is going to devour his cake on his birthday next month. Kara made a special cake for Mya to smash and I think I may steal her idea and her recipe for Henri's special day. It was a fun day for all :-)
On Sunday Henri and I headed back to my friend Kara's house for our monthly book club. The kiddos played while we "discussed" the book. One of the babies there (Anthony) had recently gotten his hair cut. Michelle mentioned that there is a Snipits in Millbury for little kids. I have been wanting to cut Henri's shaggy hair for awhile and as I was driving home from Kara's I decided that today was the day. Henri was such a well behaved boy for his first haircut. He only cried at the very end when the stylist turned the buzzer on to clean up the sides and back. Now he will look perfect for his upcoming birthday bash!!!
