Summer has Arrived!!

Hooray for summer! Finally, my days of waking up at the crack of dawn and leaving my sweet pea behind for the day have ended! Today was my official first day of summer vacation. Kara invited Henri and I to join her, Claire, and Mya for a fun day of strawberry picking and a visit to Davis Farm Land. Henri and I had such a fabulous time ~ so much so that we ended up buying a season pass to Davis Farm. We started out early, heading out to a place in Lancaster to pick berries. I ended up doing most of the picking, but Henri had his first taste of a strawberry (mmmmm, delicious). He also had a lick of a rock and a bite of grass (when I wasn't looking). Claire was too adorable, making sure Henri was where he was supposed to be at all times. Henri and Mya had several lovey moments throughout the day (this may be the start of something special!!)

After picking our berries we headed over to Davis Farm. Henri loved looking and touching all the animals and enjoyed the sprinkler park more than I would have thought. He ran right in without even looking back to make sure I was with him. Claire and Mya had fun in the water too. After the sprinkler park we sat and gave the kiddos a quick bite before heading over to customer service to buy our season pass before leaving. Henri was absolutely pooped! He took a long nap before we headed back out to go to the camp. He visited with his Gram so I could go to my dentist appointment (no cavities for me :-). We ended up staying late because Henri didn't want to get out of the lake :-) He is definitely becoming a water baby. The first day of summer was a success!! We are looking forward to seeing Chloe on Friday and Meme, Pepe, Uncle Andre, and Aunt Nicole on Saturday for Chinese food ~ YAY!! Sunday is baby Lucy's party :-) FUN TIMES ahead!!

Good thing Kara brought her camera~ I stole some pics off her blog. I wasn't thinking, and should have taken some pictures with her and her girls....next time!
