Dearest Henri,
We can't believe that you are nine months old today. It seems like just yesterday that we found out I was pregnant and your daddy and I began planning our future with a new baby. You are growing into such a wonderful little guy. Your smile is infectious as is your flirtatious nature. Wherever we go people comment on what a handsome little man you are. You are ALWAYS well behaved when I take you here there and everywhere.
You enjoy riding in the car and visiting friends and family. You are fascinated with ceilings and lights and always throw back your head and check out the view before looking around at everything else. You are eating like a horse, and drinking water from a sippy cup. You are able to pull yourself up to a standing position and cruise all along the couch and love seat. You have even climbed the staircase a couple of times! Sometimes I wish that time would stand still and you wouldn't grow so fast. There are other times when I am frustrated because I don't know what you want and wish that you were talking already. I often think about what you will say and what your likes and dislikes will be as you get older.
At nine months you are STILL not sleeping through the night. Daddy thinks that we need a better routine and shouldn't cave when we hear you cry. There is nothing worse than hearing you cry and be upset, especially at night. Things have been particularly bad lately. We think that you are teething because you are constantly biting our fingers and pushing on your gums. I am a bit obsessed over the fact that you don't have any teeth yet, but I know that eventually they will pop through.
Daddy and I couldn't feel more blessed to have you in our lives. You are the glue that holds our family together and we look forward to all the wonderful times we will share together as a family. We love you more than anything, Monkeysaurus!!
