Last week Henri had his 9 month well child visit (although he is almost 10 months). He was feeling very cranky and running a fever so I took the day off from school to be with him. My mom and I took him to his appointment at 3:30 with Dr. Devine. He was weighed (21 lbs) and measured (29 1/2 inches) and given his Hep B shot :-(...Then the doctor asked me to give him a run down of all the "tricks" Henri can do. As I rattled off my list I was truly amazed at all our little guy can now do - patty cake, kisses, throws arms up when I say "up," waves bye, dances, stands alone for a few seconds, cruises all over, uses a sippy cup, and uses a pincher grasp when feeding himself. Dr. Devine thinks he will be walking soon. On my birthday last week Henri took 3 steps toward me without holding on the anything!!! He has yet to do it again, but I am sure it will be sooner rather than later.
On the downside, Henri did have an ear infection and had to be prescribed an antibiotic. He has been on it for few days now and is feeling much better!
