Kisses for Henri

Since Henri was born we have been showering him with kisses. From very early on, each time I would kiss Henri I would say, "kisses for Henri." Well to my joyous surprise last week Henri returned a kiss to me. I was showering him with "kisses for Henri" and he leaned in with mouth agape and planted a wet kiss on me. He has also given kisses to JP and Memere too. This morning after he gobbled up his garden vegetables I asked him to give kisses to Daddy and he shook his head no (I am sure it was just coincidence, but cute nonetheless).

It amazes me how Henri is changing and growing into his own little person. At meal times he gleefully says "mmmm" with each bite. Not sure if he got this from me constantly saying "mmm Henri isn't this delicious? or if that's his way of telling me to hurry up and give him another mouthful. He is now crawling absolutely everywhere and can even climb the first two steps on the staircase. He pulls himself up onto everything and casually holds on with just one hand while he gives me a big smile. I am sure he will be walking soon. I look everyday to see if he has any teeth popping up, but here we are at eight months and still nothing.

I am counting the days till February break so I can spend more time with my little Monkeysaurus :-)
